All smiles...
These days Jack is learning about the world around him - both near and far. He is fascinated with fans, lights, and THE TV!!! It is so funny to sit and watch him watch everything around him. Now he has also realized that he has feet. He loves to play with his feet and had his big toe in his mouth yesterday...Jackie and i are impressed with the flexibility :) He has been so much fun and we are so excited everyday to watch his little personality grow. His laugh will totally melt your heart and he smiles at everyone! We took him to his first MSU football game this weekend and I will post pictures of that soon...for now here are a few over the last week or so! We hope that everyone is having a great day!!!

Getting back up to speed...
We'll admit, the blogging kinda slowed down after Jack's arrival. Okay, it stopped altogether. But we're not giving up just yet! Jack has certainly grown, and is now just over 3 months old. It is simply amazing to see him everyday, and he really is growing up so fast. Those of you that have seen him lately know that he has had no problem eating. Those of you that have not seen him lately will probably not recognize him.
This was Jack's first walk around the neighborhood, with Mary Virginia and Lulu.
We're going to update the blog with some pictures of Jack from the last few months, and we'll try to keep better track of what's going on - since that's the whole point of this blogging thing. So, without further delay, here are a few pictures to catch you up. We'll try to keep the pictures coming...
This picture is from one of Jack's first days at home. He is wearing his tie that Jackie got him (his Sunday clothes).

Baby Jack is HERE!!!
So as most of you have probably heard, sweet little Jack made his debut on May 18, 2010 at 1:18 am. He weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce and was 22 1/2 inches long. We absolutely fell in love with him from the moment we saw him. He has been such a blessing to our entire family.
Things did not go quite as "planned" for his birthday but we think that the way that things turned out could not have been better. I was supposed to be induced on Tuesday morning but was scheduled to be at the hospital at 3:30 on Monday to get the process started for the night before the "induction". So since I thought that we would have all night at the hospital, I decided to prepare some that day by getting some last minute things together. I wasn't feeling great, but I chalked that up to "nerves" that day, so I decided to go to Renaissance to walk around and get my little addiction (Smoothie King). I should have known that something was up because I couldn't drink my smoothie after I got it and that just doesn't usually happen :) Well anyway, I came home and did things around the house for the rest of the morning, got a shower, and finished packing. Jackie got home around noon and we installed the carseat *(yes i know that we were last minute on this, but at least we got it done...haha). We then decided to go eat Mexican on the way to the hospital because I had not been able to eat all day and I can always eat Mexican. So we got to the Mexican restaurant around 2pm and were going to leave there and head to get candy :) for the hospital. BUT Jack had other plans...my water broke on the way to the hospital. He was ready to be here and we were ready for him too. We checked into our room and things went from there. I was already having contractions every 3-4 minutes and didn't even feel them YET! Jack made his debut early on Tuesday morning and our family was so sweet to all be there for his birth. He was welcomed with love for sure. I also had the best nurses that I could have asked for.
I will try to be better about the blogging and will leave you with some of Jack's finest photos :) Thanks to all of our sweet family, visitors and friends who have made us feel so special at this exciting time in our lives.

JGB...
Well we got some good news at the appointment last week and it looks like sweet little Jack will be making his debut a little sooner than we thought. We are scheduled to be induced on May 18th unless he decides to visit sooner. We are so excited and I cannot believe that in less than a month we will meet this wonderful little guy.
Ok so I am sorry that I have been so sparce with the posts, but I will try to do better :) It is just crazy around here these days but I have a feeling that things are about to get a little crazier. Jackie and I are so excited and are starting to prepare more and more for his arrival. We have also finally decided on baby Bost's (known as BB to many) name and he will be Jack Garner Bost. We are extremely excited about this name because he will have such a strong family name :) Jack as many of you can probably guess is for Jackie (husband) and Jackie (mom) and Jackie's (husband) grandfather. Garner is Granny's maiden name. We feel that he will have great roots and we could not be more thrilled with that idea. I will try to be better at posting and for sure will let you know when/if we find out any new details :)

Big Boy Jack...
The Doctor's appointment went well yesterday and our sweet little Jack is still a big boy! They told us he weighs about 5 pounds now and is measuring about 2 weeks ahead. We are getting so ready to meet him!!!
How funny are these pictures. One looks like "oh no, not more pictures" and then of course when he sticks his tongue out at you, you get the picture :) haha. Just wanted to post the latest and will try to put more soon. Hope that everyone has a happy Easter and enjoys this special time of year.

Next Doctor's visit...
As the weeks are going by faster and faster, we are starting to get more and more excited about meeting our sweet little baby boy. We go tomorrow for the 32 week ultrasound and appointment and I cannot wait to get to see him again. We are going to try to get a better face shot this time since he had his feet in his face the entire 4d. I would love to see those sweet feet again though and we will just have to see how cooperative he will be. We feel so blessed to be on this wonderful ride and it seems like just yesterday that we were telling the news. I will post a new picture if we get a good one tomorrow...hope that everyone is having a great week!

Baby Boy's first photo shoot :)
Well we went for the 4d sonogram and can I just say that it was so amazing. I really cannot believe how much detail there is when you are watching it. Baby Bost was NOT cooperative at first but we did not care...we were enthralled with watching whatever he was doing. Since unfortunately my first glucose test did not turn out so well, on Monday, during the 4d, I was also running back and forth to the nurse to get my sugar tested during the 3 hour glucose test...ugh. But that all turned out to be fine - what a blessing because for those of you who know me it would have been a TOUGH 11 weeks with a special sugar-free diet...but i could have done it :)
So when I got back from getting my finger stuck, he decided that he wanted to be a sweet boy and show us his flexibility. He was playing with his feet for almost the entire hour and we were getting so tickled at him pulling his feet up to his face. Jackie says that he taught him how to do that...what a proud daddy he was :) I really cannot wait to meet this little man. How about those little cheeks? We are so in love already and feel like we know him just a little bit more now!

Baby Blue...
Progress was made this weekend :) It is so funny to me that the weekend that we actually painted the nursery, everyone seemed to ask, "so when are you going to pick a paint color?" We narrowed down our choices from 4 colors, or shades of blue if you will, and we are really happy with the way that it turned out. We started on the nursery on Friday night with the primer and then finished up on Sunday with the finale! Taping was the hardest part but I took care of the low areas and Jackie got the high spots. By the way, if you are ever trying to paint over a darker color with a lighter one, ask the paint people to tint your primer that you use...saved us one coat at least :)
Today I had another appointment and he is getting bigger and bigger, and evidently the scales say the same about me - haha. I was excited to hear that sweet heartbeat again and it was around 150 today...he was moving around like a wild child the whole time she was trying to listen but I thought that it was funny to watch! We are going on Monday for the 4d sonogram and I am so excited. I have been looking forward to this since we found out we were expecting. Get this though, you have to take a blank VHS tape to record the movement on the sonogram but a blank dvd or cd will work for still pictures...we don't even have a VHS player. Jackie was joking saying he was going to have to go buy one so we could watch the video...my parents have one so we will have to borrow it! Pictures of baby boy will be up as soon as we can get them on here next week - SO EXCITING!!!

Winter Wonderland???
So the doctor's appointment went well last week. For those of you who go by the rule of "the higher the heartbeat the more likely it is a girl"...well we are trying to prove that wrong I suppose because baby bost hasn't dropped below 148 and is usually in the 150s. It is still the most amazing sound in the world to hear that sweet little heartbeat. I am sure that friends with kids have told us this, but it is just still so incredible to hear that noise. For the next appointment I have to do the glucose test :( ughh...but then on the 8th we get to do the 4d sonogram. I am so excited to see how much bigger he has gotten.
So how about this snow in MISSISSIPPI? How exciting to be seeing white more than once in the past 3 months. This time around we have not taken Lulu out to play in it but she went on her own before heading in the house covered in flakes...she loves it. I hope that everyone has a great weekend!

On the Move...
Baby Bost update:
Ok, so I know that I have got to get better at posting more regularly and I PROMISE I will. So for now we are just trying to enjoy every minute of this amazing little journey we are on. It is crazy that our little boy will be here in a little less than 4 months. I really still cannot believe it sometimes. It is really starting to sink in more now that I am feeling him all of the time...I mean it is the most amazing thing in the world! And this week, you can even see him from time to time rolling around in there...unreal! We have another doctor's appointment on Wednesday and then the 4d ultrasound at the next appointment. I will try to get our sonogram pics up soon and of course after his next photoshoot I will post those pictures as well. Hope that everyone is doing great and I will try to update more routinely.
Lulu update:
Now on to our "fur baby"...for those of you who know Lulu, she is quite spoiled. I cannot tell you how much attention she gets and loves every minute of it. Lulu's newest routine has involved helping us get ready for the baby...and she is getting good at it. She has decided to make it her mission to wake us up during the night to go outside and "pretend" to need to go to the bathroom. I know that you are probably wondering why we don't just ignore her, but it is REALLY hard when she is whining and putting her wet nose on whatever part of your face she can reach on the bed. She is our baby right now though and we know that we cater to her needs, but she is just so stinkin cute. I will also post some recent lulu pics when I get the others on here. Get excited!!!

Baby Bost Update - the Crib
Okay, you probably already know that the reason we started this whole thing is because we're expecting a little boy on May 28. It's probably a safe bet that the majority of the posts on our blog will be Baby Bost-related for a LONG time to come. So here is Baby Bost update #1!
This weekend we picked up the new crib, put it together, and officially started preparing the nursery. It's so exciting! We took some furniture out of the room and put the crib in the spot where it will (hopefully) stay. There is still a lot of work to do, including painting the room and the dresser/changing table, and we'll hopefully be getting to those things soon. It is crazy to think that this will be the room that our sweet little boy will be calling "his room".
We have also, with the help of our sweet family, begun to think about names for Baby Boy. It is really funny how everyone wants to know "The Name" as soon as you tell them what you are expecting. We absolutely love it though and welcome any suggestions. We are still trying to decide on whether or not we are sharing the name before he gets here, but when this decision is finalized everyone will get the update. A name contest may appear on here sometime soon, so keep an eye out!
Visits to the doctor are every 4 weeks so we will keep you all posted as the date gets sooner. As for now, he is measuring big (shock there, huh) and my doctor says that she likes to see big boys so we are happy that she is happy! More to come soon....
